About Me.
I’m Maeghan Cordis, a 16-year-old reiner from Colbert, Washington. I’ve been riding for 12 years and currently train with Clay Hilderbrand. Horses have been the center of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve dedicated myself to becoming a well-rounded, coachable, and competitive rider.
I’ve had the opportunity to show a wide variety of horses at all stages of training, and I currently compete on two: a 12-year-old gelding I brought along over the past two years, and a 4-year-old mare I’ve had since she was two. Working with both a seasoned partner and a green horse has pushed me to be adaptable, patient, and always learning.
I’m always eager to ride anything my trainer will let me on, and I spend as much time as I can at the barn, it’s where I’ve grown the most as a rider and a person. My dream is to ride on a collegiate team where I can keep developing my skills, contribute to something bigger than myself, and be surrounded by teammates and coaches who share my drive and passion for the sport.
